I walked with Chris and Jenn and their dogs Pip and Fluke, on a cool but dry day. We zig-zagged a little on the ascent, following distinguished paths, but it was fairly steep in the final ascent. It was a very popular fell, with lots of walkers heading up from Grasmere - and a trig point at the summit, so of course I had to plank!

This fell felt like it took ages to climb! I walked up the river from Stonethwaite and crossed the bridge, then a stile, then followed the walls up to the summit. Very rewarding - the views were hazy but beautiful,
#75 - Sergeant's Crag (a Central Fell)
completed on 17th March 2015
A short wander from Eagle Crag, and the ascent up Eagle Crag had done most of the work, making this less challenging, but leaving much needed energy for the following legs of the walk.
#76 - Ullscarf (a Central Fell)
completed on 17th March 2015
I skirted around the top of the valley as I didn't fancy going up Lining Crag, and met two fellow walkers along the way. They were from County Durham and kept me company for a few hours until we parted at Blea Tarn. There were quite a few frozen puddles and a bit of snow around!
#77 - High Tove (a Central Fell)
completed on 17th March 2015
In one word: boggy. I'd been warned, but nothing quite prepared me for how wet it actually was! I was shimmy-ing along the tops of fences, running and leaping over what can only be described as swimming pools of water. Very rewarding in the end, and even had a hazy view.
#78 - Great Cockup (a Northern Fell)
completed on 18th March 2015
We (Sharon and I) walked from Orthwaite in the morning and made our way up the side of Great Cockup. It was a lovely walk, and the first walk we've been able to do this year without a coat! Gorgeous weather and great company.
#80 - Great Sca Fell (a Northern Fell)
completed on 18th March 2015
We hadn't intended to walk this fell, but it looked so close that we could taste it! Another easy walk up a clear path to a large cairn - weather still beautiful although it was chilling off slightly.
#81 - Knott
completed on 18th March 2015
Our final fell of the day (we decided against going up Great Calva), and our highest fell - still with snow on the top! - some even up to 6 inches deep.
#112 - Gray Crag, #113 - Thornthwaite Crag, #114 - High Street & #115 - The Knott
And that's all for now folks! Head over to the next tab for more Wainwright pictures - I'm nearly there now :)

#79 - Meal Fell (a Northern Fell)
completed on 18th March 2015
Heading down off of Great Cockup to Trusmador, we headed up the ascent of Meal Fell, which was fairly small and an easy climb. We got to the shelter at the summit, and Honey was carefully guarding it from passing walkers!
